I always like this song by John Mayer called No Such Thing. This is not because I am simply being rebellious against the idea of being taught about what is right or wrong, or what the right tracks should be. Rather, the more I learn from my classes, the less I feel familiar with the world outside school whenever I am out there. For this reason, I set up this blog to share with you all about my experiences of escaping from academia – my findings from outside school that challenge what I was taught before, as well as contemporary issues that we do not formally learn or discuss at school.
Some of you may ask where I am trying to lead the escape into. The so-called Real World? As John sang, the Real World is just a lie we all have got to rise above. Here, I shall name You-Know-What “The Wild.” You know it. Not everything in the very world that we live in has to make sense to deserve recognition or even existence. For instance, it is impressive that Mr. George W. Bush was the President of the United States for two consecutive terms… Well, it is what it is.
Don’t let formal education get in the way of your learning and personal lives. With that said, let’s hunt.
